remediations

Vendor fix, mitigation, or workaround guidance, as published by each source.

A vendor fix is available.

  • FixedAutomation Builderabb_psirt

The problem is corrected in the following product version: - Automation Builder 2.9.1 ABB recommends that customers apply the update at earliest convenience. Automation Builder 2.9.1 is available for download from the related download site.

  • FixedCODESYS Development Systemcodesys_psirt

Update the following products to version 3.5.21.40. * CODESYS Development System When existing CODESYS project files are opened with a fixed CODESYS Development system version, the option keys "PageSettings" and "PrinterSettings" are now obsolete and will be reset. As a result printer and page settings will be lost and have to be reconfigured. Only these specific parts of "Project Options -> Page Setup" are dropped by the update. The configured Header, Footer, TitlePage and Document options will be kept. The CODESYS Development System can be downloaded and installed directly with the CODESYS Installer or be downloaded from the CODESYS Store. Alternatively, as well as for all other products, you will find further information on obtaining the software update in the CODESYS Update area https://www.codesys.com/download/.

  • Fixedwago_psirt

Update to Firmware version 4.10.0 (FW32) or higher. For the latest Custom Firmware please contact the WAGO support.

  • MitigationCODESYS Development Systemcodesys_psirt

Open/install CODESYS archives, projects and packages from trustworthy sources only.

  • WorkaroundAutomation Builderabb_psirt

Workarounds are specific measures that a user can take to help block an attack, for example, temporarily disabling the vulnerable feature may remove the exposure with well-known impact on functionality. ABB has tested the following workarounds. Although these workarounds will not correct the underlying vulnerability, they can help block known attack vectors. When a workaround reduces functionality, this is identified below as “Impact of work-around”. The vulnerability can be closed by enabling local access only. See chapter “Recommended immediate actions” for details.
