Multiple vulnerabilities have been identified in the additional GNU/Linux subsystem of the firmware version >= V3.1.0 and < V3.1.5 for the SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1518(F)-4 PN/DP MFP (incl. SIPLUS variant). These GNU/Linux vulnerabilities have been externally identified. Siemens has released new versions for the affected products and recommends to update to the latest versions. SIMATIC S7-1500 CPU 1518(F)-4 PN/DP MFP >= V3.1.0 and < V3.1.5 are no longer maintained and there won't be any update to the CVE list anymore. Please update to the latest version. Note: This SSA advises vulnerabilities for firmware version V3.1 only; for versions < V3.1 refer to Siemens Security Bulletin SSB-439005 (https://cert-portal.siemens.com/productcert/html/ssb-439005.html).

  • VDE-2022-010PHOENIX CONTACT: Multiple Linux component vulnerabilities fixed in latest AXC F x152 LTS release2022-04-12csaf · phoenix_contact_psirtDE

PLCnext Control AXC F x152 is certified according to IEC 62443-4-1 and IEC 62443-4-2. This certification requires that all third-party components used in the firmware are regularly checked for known vulnerabilities. Firmware components in version 2021.06 had already been updated. For the 2022.0 LTS version more firmware components have been updated implicitly fixing the vulnerabilities listed. The vulnerabilities listed above have not been individually verified in terms of actual impact and/or limitations in combination with the affected products listed. The current LTS release 2022.0 LTS contains updates of integrated third-party libraries, SDKs and other third-party software to address these issues nevertheless. UPDATE A (April 4th, 2022): Added RFC 4072 (Art. No. 1051328) and fixed affected version of AXC F 3152

  • CURL-CVE-2020-8177curl overwrite local file with -J2020-06-24vendor · osvUS

curl can be tricked by a malicious server to overwrite a local file when using `-J` (`--remote-header-name`) and `-i` (`--include`) in the same command line. The command line tool offers the `-J` option that saves a remote file using the filename present in the `Content-Disposition:` response header. curl then refuses to overwrite an existing local file using the same name, if one already exists in the current directory. The `-J` flag is designed to save a response body, and so it does not work together with `-i` and there is logic that forbids it. However, the check is flawed and does not properly check for when the options are used in the reversed order: first using `-J` and then `-i` were mistakenly accepted. The result of this mistake was that incoming HTTP headers could overwrite a local file if one existed, as the check to avoid the local file was done first when body data was received, and due to the mistake mentioned above, it could already have received and saved headers by that time. The saved file would only get response headers added to it, as it would abort the saving when the first body byte arrives. A malicious server could however still be made to send back virtually anything as headers and curl would save them like this, until the first CRLF-CRLF sequence appears. (Also note that `-J` needs to be used in combination with `-O` to have any effect.)
